Dispensing Medication and Viewing Laboratory Results in Promed MRS
This section describes how to dispense prescribed medications and view laboratory results for an admitted patient.
Example: Thomas Huddersfield, a male inpatient in Male Medical Ward (Bed MM-01).
Dispensing Medication
Step 1: Open the Dispensing Module
- Go to Dispensing.
- Search for Thomas Huddersfield.

Step 2: Review Active Prescription

| Metformin 500 mg | Once daily | Oral | Ordered |
Step 3: Dispense the Medication
- Select Metformin 500 mg.
- Enter quantity (e.g., 30 tablets) and remarks if required.
- Click Dispense.

The status updates from Ordered to Dispensed.
You can print the prescription as well

Step 4: Verify Dispensing

Return to the Medications tab in the patient’s record to confirm the update.
Viewing Laboratory Results
Step 1: Access Lab Results
- Go to Laboratory → Results or open Thomas Huddersfield’s record → Orders → Lab Results.

Step 2: Review Completed Tests

Step 3: Add Clinical Note
“Mildly elevated blood glucose. Continue Metformin 500 mg once daily and monitor levels.”
Step 4: Export or Print
If available, use Print or Export PDF to include results in the patient’s visit summary.
