Managing Patient Lists in Promed MRS

This section explains how to use the Patient Lists module to view, filter, and manage groups of patients, and why it is useful.
Example patient: Thomas Huddersfield.

Purpose of Patient Lists

Patient Lists help staff organise and monitor groups of patients efficiently. Key benefits:

  • Quick Overview: See all patients or filtered groups (inpatients, outpatients, admitted today) with key info like name, age, gender, location, bed, and visit status.
  • Workflow Management: Track patients in a ward, clinic, or service; support rounds, nurse checks, and consultations.
  • Filtering and Prioritisation: Filter by location, visit status, or type to identify patients needing urgent attention or follow-up.
  • Actionable Access: From the list, staff can open patient records, start visits, assign beds, add vitals, medications, lab orders, or generate bills.
  • Reporting and Auditing: Export or print lists for audits, daily summaries, or monitoring bed occupancy and service usage.

In short, Patient Lists provide a central tool for staff to monitor, access, and act on patients efficiently, improving workflow, care coordination, and administrative reporting.
